Making a

Art by Aletia is all about reflecting, connecting, and empowering ourselves so we can be authentic to our own identity and lives, living life to the fullest, this allows us to spread that positivity all around us. When we realize how valid our voice is and how powerful the actions we take truly are, we really do make a difference.

I love to give back to inspirations that make our planet so special so every time an Original Painting is purchased a portion of the sales go to the following causes….

Since 1989, Trees for the Future has been improving the livelihoods of over 26,000 people by educating them to plant their way out of hunger and poverty. So far, over 260 million trees have been planted in communities across the planet, revitalising degraded lands with regenerative agriculture.

Planting trees provides families with more than just food. It provides income, empowerment, unity, leadership, education and even saves lives. When we can teach people to value themselves and their environment, they see amazing improvements in their standard of living, resilient livelihoods, food security and restored ecosystems.

I have always been passionate about the environment and the future health of our planet not just for our future generations but the animals we share our planet with.

To me, trees are the lungs of our planet and are vital for the future health of ourselves and our planet, contributing to Trees for the Future enable us to help spread our positivity and grow in the knowledge that we are making a profound difference.

In choosing Trees for the Future, a reliable non-profit organisation that not only plant trees but help African communities to thrive, feel valued and empowered and this aligns with what I’m all about.

"I get more from my two acre Forest Garden than I could get from six acres of peanut crop. My son's have a future now and as I age, trees will continue to feed my family." - Mate Mbaye

Return to Freedom is dedicated to preserving the freedom, diversity and habitat of America’s wild horses and burros through sanctuary, education, advocacy and conservation, while enriching the human spirit through direct experience with the natural world.

Though we rescue wild horses in need and offer sanctuary to more than 350, Return to Freedom is not a rescue organization. At its core, Return to Freedom is dedicated to conservation. Everything we do from offering sanctuary, to educating the public, to conserving rare breeds is with one ultimate goal in mind: making sure the diverse and awe-inspiring communities that exist in nature, from the wild horse herds to the vast western landscape that serves as their habitat, survive the continued assault that humankind has waged against them.

We hope that our efforts will create a better future for America’s wild horses, so that they will always grace the western landscape.

Wild Horses

Herds of wild horses still roam free on public lands in the west. However, private livestock grazing and special interests compete for the forage, water and other natural resources on this land, creating constant pressure on the government land management agencies like the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to remove wild horses from the range.

Today, wild horses are being rounded up and removed at such an aggressive rate that more than 50,000 live in captivity, compared to 86,000 on BLM managed public lands.

As a child I was deeply inspired by wild horses, reading about them and watching them on TV as a way of escapism from my chaotic upbringing.

Horses are my deepest inspiration and muse in life and my art and I continue to do what I can to give back to these magnificent animals.

I hope there is a bright future for mustangs and other wild horses in their natural habitat where they can always live out their lives as nature intended – wild and free.

As an advocate I want to raise funds and build awareness of the wild mustang’s plight, about Return to Freedom and how we can work together to keep these magical creatures wild in our world.

How you

In collaboration with Mustang photographers, I am creating Mustang paintings of our world’s treasured Mustangs, in the hope to raise needed funds and awareness to the mustang’s plight.

For every Original Painting sold a donation is made to Return to Freedom, to help them in the care of the mustangs at their sanctuary and helping those in the wild, so Mustangs like Hidalgo and Spirit descendants can be free forever.

A painting sold means donating to help maintain the horses in Return to Freedom’s Wild Horse Sanctuary, conserving wild horses in their natural environment and maintaining the genetics for the future of wild horses for the mustang species.
